This is pure brilliance.
Adam of 'Adam & Joe' had this gem of an idea.
It's disappointing knowing that Paltrow's head isn't really in there though...

Public Enemy soundclash - click to download
This is HEAVY.
Harder Than You Think reworked by 'upandcoming' producer Superfrank. This won the recent Public Enemy remix competition.
SF's earlier remix of This Song by ugly northern monkeys The Enemy is an absolute winner. Baggy beyond belief.

Tame Impala - Psychedelia revival wanders on...
A favourite new band round these parts. From Perth and signed to Modular, these beauties have a sound that makes you want to munch your fill of sweet wine and mushrooms.
This video is pyschedelic loveliness.

Following on from the recent release of a series of exclusive Metronomy remixes, Bacardi has commissioned another set of killer mixes (of the track 100%) from our friends at Fools Gold. Chromeo played at their B-Live event at the Pemberton festival in Canada earlier this year.
Enjoy this.

One Misfit to another - Dizzee Rascal for Prime Minister!
Said Rascal to Paxman on our very own Newsnight:
"It don't matter if you're white man, black man, martian man....
Yeah, I could do it. Dizzee Rascal for Prime Minister, yeah?"

American Misfit wins - thanks to John Taylor
Let's celebrate with this little ditty from Taylor which I've been holding back for a few weeks. Now I love Duran Duran as much as the next man but this is painful. Some would say Partridge-esque even.
Hey ho. Here's to the dawn of a new day!

Kraak & Smaak - Squeeze Me
Great track and a simple, clever video. Ben Westbeech delivers a soulful male vocal and manages to sound credible, no mean feat. This is proper catchy.

Christ on a bike...
Jesus Jones are back. They kick started their tour last night at The Luminaire in Kilburn. Yours truly was lucky enough to be among 200 odd portly middle aged men reliving the halcyon days of '93. Here they are in a more innocent time. So thin, so pale, so English.

Misfit - Never Mind The Butter - Where's the Sex Pistols?????
I saw it with my own eyes for the first time tonight. Johnny Rotten, the protagonist of punk and self proclaimed 'anarchist' is hosting a simply delightful warm and cuddly commercial for Country Life butter. Ok the premise is, it's all about Ingland but WHAT???!!!
Check him out as he chows down on a slice of hot buttered loveliness.
What's next? Mark E Smith putting his feet up for DFS?
Answers on a postcard please.

Kings of Leon - hotter than a dose of cystitis
Only By The Night, featuring the unfortunately named Sex on Fire, is another triumph from this band that just keep on delivering. They have a number one single and album here, headlined Glastonbury, play Wembley Arena in December (sold out show), yet two weeks in New York played a show to just 2,000 people. Their loss is our gain. Yankee misfits. You want to see me Crawl?

Elbow win the Mercurys
Like Doves, like Interpol, Elbow seem to encourage a fanatic fanbase who feel that the band are plated in gold and can do no wrong. I'm a Doves band kind of kid, but fair play to Elbow who've worked hard and done this without label backing. And Richard Hawley's on the record and that's a good enough reason to give anyone a prize. Soft as a bag of tits.

Why do they all thank God? MTV Video Awards last night.
Everyone's favourite mixed up misfit, Britney is back; clothed, full of hair and coherent.
"Oh my god I'm speechless. I'd like to thank God for blessing me like this" ???
"My beautiful family" ???
The girl's had a pretty rough ride recently to say the least and I wouldn't be far from knocking down on the doors of God and/or family to lay a portion of blame there.
At least she's upbeat though eh?

Beta Bleeps - Hereldeduke - click to download
Something for the weekend. At the risk of sounding like a 70's dad.... It's a catchy little number. Kind of Beta Band, Avalanches and something I can't quite put my finger on....
Rage play Reading tonight.
Oh yes. Loving Zack's 'Fuct' T in this. A classic 90's number. Up there with 'Junkies Baddy Powder' and coloured denim.

Converse continue their march over music
Converse Festivals is a social networking site based around sharing festival experiences. Join a group and upload pictures of yourself wearing a bad felt jester hat or being sick in a ditch. The guys there have got their eye on cornering the music market and they're not doing a bad job at all.
Come on, we all love Converse.

Babes and Boots - click to listen
The Sugababes latest single is a cover of 'Girls' - as featured extensively on the Boots TV campaign.
I'm loving this idea. In today's climate a TV or profile ad campaign synch is a holy grail for artists, offering the kind of promotional platform of a magnitude that most label marketing budgets simply can't stretch to.
Can't get your track on an ad? No need.
Why not just cover a track that's already being hammered by a brand and cash in on the existing national awareness.
There's surely a partnership on the horizon here.
Sugababes own brand baby oil, hair straighteners or razors?
Here come the Girls.....
