Musical Misfit

Stuart Little lives! And he plays jazz flute!

Barlow and Martin do the good thing.

Brit Awards 2009 - only two parties worth visiting after the awards. Universal party at Claridges and The Warchild event at Shepherd's Bush Empire. Aside, WFT were U2 doing playing at The Brits anyway, with no awards to accept? Good old Bono, always just there for the greater good eh?

Anyway, who'd have thunk it, chez Warchild - Gary Barlow and Chris Martin duetting for the Take That classic Back For Good.

All in the good name.

Word on the street was it was quite a moment.

Bless.

Musical Youth...

Wow. This is scary. But at least it could help alleviate the population crisis.

Marrakesh Records and Human Capital will publish a survey of over 1,000 15-24 year olds exposing their listening habits and attitudes to music discovery. Summary highlights are as follows.

"Music is hugely important to the age group. 60% of 16-24 year olds would rather go without sex than music for a week. This increases to 70% for 16-19 year olds."

Keep on fuckin', kids. It's for the good of the people!

Jeez that sounds bad.

Get dropped!

Mystery Jets have been dropped and are, in the face of adversity, working on new material already, intending to try it out over a two week residency in Berlin. Fuck the system Blaine!

Secret Machines, who were dropped by Warners, are back with a new album. CM saw them last night in London and they were on fire as always, setting the room alight with space rock, LSD fuelled visuals and a 10 minute prog experience that took no prisoners.

Tomorrow is the Brit Awards which will no doubt see major label bosses wanking each other off over the success of groundbreaking sonic pioneers such as Scouting for Girls.

They say times of financial hardship produce the most compelling and creative work.

Just don't expect the record labels to give a shit.

CM a Paris

Hi,

I'm currently en vacances in Paris enjoying some culture.

Colette has had a major refurb and is rammed with rich twats. I've been thinking for a while about buying a pair of Reebok high tops... yes, I want to go there... until I overheard two home counties plums fighting over a lime green pair in Colette today.

C'est le fin du cool.

They did have a Giles dress to die for though. And you have to kill yourself before paying 1900 euros for a dress, surely.

CM is just bitter she can't afford the dress.

Hey ho.

A bientot.

Get a life! DJ Hero is on its way

DJ Hero is indeed coming, according to comments by Activision Blizzard chief Bobby Kotick.

"We have this product called DJ Hero coming out later this year, which is a turntable that you actually can play competitively and spin discs and mix songs,"

WTF! says CM. OMG.

Get out, get some records, get DJing you bunch of spotty losers.

Learn to play a guitar.

Learn to do anything.

What's next? Wank Hero?

Grrr.

Lil Wayne and Pharrell give it some.... click to download

After the dubstep styles of 'Yes', Lil Wayne invites Pharrell into his world for some more, on this industrial heavy roller... Ay Man. (It seems everyone's got the autotune bug too)
